Police Shut Down 200 Person Gathering At Kingston Funeral Home

A gathering with more that 200 people was shut down in Kingston last night.

Reports are that police personnel from the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch had to shut down the repast which was being held at the Tranquility Funeral Home in Downtown, Kingston.

This follows Sunday’s announcement by Prime Minister Andrew Holness that there will be a ban on funerals and burials from March 8 to 22. He had however stated that such events which were already scheduled for March 1 to 7 should go ahead, observing current COVID 19 protocols.
